Despite popular belief, there are Sundays that things go wrong within our church. Days where the foyer is flooded, coffee machines are broken, trash has magically appeared, and technical issues have ensued. Days like these are rarely ever seen or even heard about by the general public because of the efforts of so many incredible leaders. At the top of that list is Rita Kale.

Rita shows up early every single Sunday with the goal of helping anywhere that’s needed. She fully believes in doing whatever she can to create an atmosphere for people to pursue life in Christ. She has cleaned toilets, taken out trash, mopped floors, organized supplies, lead meetings, and anything else that has been asked of her. A few weeks ago we began a new campaign within our church. Although everything for the campaign was ready, none of it was setup. I had dropped the ball and was frantically trying to get everything setup before people arrived. Rita asked what she could do to help and graciously took over the task. Within minutes she had everything organized, people in place, and a plan in action better than I ever could’ve done. That day everything went off without a hitch and no one had any idea the chaos that could’ve happened had Rita not stepped in.

This is the way Rita works. She sees a need and fills it while staying calm and always having a great attitude. Her attitude has spread into our greeter team that she leads and into the other leaders she serves alongside. Without a doubt Rita is an invaluable piece to the leadership of our church. She personifies our heart to “pursue God” and to “pursue people.” As one of the pastors and leaders of the church, I would personally like to thank Rita Kale for the person and the leader she is at Pursuit Church. We love you and are incredibly thankful for all you do!
