At some point in history, the “American Dream” transitioned from the “pursuit of happiness” to the “pursuit of wealth.”  Wealth, income, and the idea of more have become what it’s all about. The thought process we teach our children goes something like this, “you need to do good in school, so you can go to a good college, so you can get a good job, so you can have a good income, so you can have a good life.” It makes sense on a lot of levels, right? It seems like a great idea, right? But often this view on life quickly becomes, “More is better. More makes me happy. More costs money. Money equals happiness. I need more money.” Paul warns us, in 1 Timothy this type of view on life can be extremely dangerous for us and our families. Listen as Pastor Jordan teaches us about how dangerous our financial desires can really be.
