Third Week: Nation

This week spend some time every day praying for our nation, our government, our leaders, our financial stability and every other area but most importantly pray for God to move the heart of America towards himself. I encourage you to pray for all leaders, those you support and those you don’t. Pray that Godly men and woman will be raised up to leadership positions all across the land. Pray that God will reveal himself to our current leaders and future leaders who may not know him. Pray specifically for President Obama and possible future presidents Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Pray that God’s will, will be done in our nation. Pray that our leaders will come to truly know the mind of God.

Weekly Scripture: 1 Corinthians 2:10-15

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own Spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgements about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgements, for, “Who had known the mind of the Lord, so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

Day 4: Prayer for our President and Future President

“I pray, Father, for President Obama. Lord, make yourself known to him, bless him with Godly wisdom and lead him to do your will for the rest of his time in office. God bless our future President. Lord, I pray that your Spirit will pierce their heart and bring them to know the love of Jesus Christ. I pray that you will bless them also with heavenly wisdom and give them the power and ability to walk in righteousness. Father move in the lives of our future President. Amen.”
